Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop data models, schemas, and governance frameworks that support legacy system sustainment and modern DevSecOps environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, SQL Server, Oracle Database).
  • Leverage SAFe architectural principles to align data solutions with Agile Release Trains (ARTs), enabling incremental delivery and continuous improvement within the CCSS 2 program.
  • Collaborate with Solution Leads, Cloud Engineers, and DevOps teams to integrate data architectures with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring data availability, integrity, and performance.
  • Configure and optimize IBM Maximo deployments, tailoring data structures and workflows to meet VA-specific asset management and operational requirements.
  • Ensure data solutions comply with VA security and privacy standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST 800-53, HIPAA), implementing encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Utilize VA-approved tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow) to document data designs, track changes, and contribute to Biweekly Status Reports on data architecture progress and risks.
  • Provide technical leadership during Agile ceremonies (e.g., PI planning, sprint reviews), aligning data strategies with sprint goals and the VIP Lean-Agile framework.
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) or big data analytics, into data architectures to enhance VA OIT’s modernization efforts.
  • Work with VA stakeholders, including the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), to define data requirements, validate architectures, and deliver Veteran-centric solutions.
  • Mentor team members on Maximo deployment, data architecture best practices, and SAFe principles, contributing to Trilogy’s staff development and technical excellence initiatives.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to data integrity, availability, and security, ensuring adaptability to evolving VA priorities and technical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Certified Maximo Deployment Professional and Certified SAFe Agile Architect (SA) certifications required.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to balance data innovation, security, and scalability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with VA security standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST, HIPAA) and the VIP Lean-Agile framework is highly desirable.
