As our new Data Architect, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for designing, validating, and managing data solutions that support advanced manufacturing processes in Agilent’s Spectroscopy & Vacuum Division. The division focuses on the development and manufacturing of Vacuum Products, including Turbo Molecular, Ion, Primary pumps along with related vacuum accessories.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Quality, and Process Owners to define data architectures that align with our enterprise architecture vision.
• Lead the design and development of data pipelines, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient data flow across manufacturing systems.
• Define and govern data models that drive operational and analytical insights, ensuring data integrity and compliance 
• Oversee the ETL processes, transforming raw data into useful insights for production optimization.
• Manage the integration of cloud-based data services (AWS/Azure), supporting both real-time and batch processing solutions.
• Act as a technical leader, driving data governance standards and promoting best practices in data security, data lifecycle management, and data quality assurance.
• Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement, providing strategic guidance on data infrastructure, cloud services, and advanced data analytics.
• Foster innovation by recommending and deploying cutting-edge data technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and advanced data analytics for smart manufacturing.

This position is based in our plant in Torino (Leini), where partial remote work would be an option (up to 2 days a week).
 

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related fields.
• Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or data management are a strong plus.
• Significant experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or in a related data-focused role, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong coding skills in Python or C# and knowledge of their IDE (e.g. Jupyter Notebook)
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, including services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Kinesis and Rekognition.
• Expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with data communication protocols used in industrial IoT, including MQTT and OPC UA.
• General knowledge of AI/ML, Computer Vision, Supervised/Unsupervised/Deep learning methods.
• Full proficiency in both Italian and English.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
