Position Summary
The Data and Analytics Architect is responsible for defining and evolving the enterprise data architecture that enables analytics, operational reporting, data governance, integration, and AI-driven capabilities across Inspire. Partnering with business and technology teams, this role drives modernization of data platforms, establishes scalable data models and data products, and advances enterprise data management capabilities. The architect serves as a strategic leader, helping shape the organization's data strategy, enabling business transformation through trusted data, and ensuring technology investments align with long-term business objectives. The role provides enterprise architecture leadership, mentors technical talent, and guides distributed delivery teams in executing scalable and reliable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve modern data architectures using Medallion, Lakehouse, and scalable data platform principles.
- Establish architecture standards, governance practices, data contracts, and design patterns that promote scalable, reusable, and trusted data assets.
- Define and enable trusted data products that support analytics, AI, machine learning, self-service reporting, and operational decision-making.
- Lead enterprise data modeling and data contract strategy, including conceptual, logical, and physical models and well-defined interfaces across key business domains.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align architecture investments with business outcomes and regulatory requirements.
- Drive data platform modernization and integration strategy using APIs, event-driven architecture, and modern data movement patterns.
- Partner with business stakeholders to establish data-driven KPIs, metrics, and measurement frameworks that support strategic decision-making and organizational performance.
- Champion the advancement of enterprise data management, engineering best practices, and architectural standards to improve consistency, quality, and operational effectiveness across the organization.
- Contribute to the enterprise data strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to modernize platforms, improve data capabilities, and support future business initiatives.
- Provide architectural leadership, technical mentorship, and delivery guidance for distributed and offshore engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years designing enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Strong expertise in data modeling and database design.
- Experience designing modern Lakehouse or Medallion data warehouse architecture.
- Experience defining integration patterns using APIs, messaging, and event-driven architecture.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance considerations within regulated industries.
- Experience leading architecture decisions across multiple business domains.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks, or similar ecosystems.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with data governance, metadata management, and master data management programs.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Experience working within regulated industries and leading globally distributed delivery teams.
