We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, modernize, and govern enterprise data platforms that support business intelligence, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in Databricks, dbt, and cloud-based data architectures who are passionate about building scalable, secure, and compliant data ecosystems.
As a Data Architect, you will work closely with engineering, finance, accounting, analytics, and governance teams to design modern data solutions, migrate legacy ETL environments, and establish robust data modeling, transformation, and governance frameworks. You will play a key role in enabling trusted, high-quality data products while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational scalability, and engineering best practices.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and cloud-native technologies.
- Develop and maintain modern data transformation frameworks using dbt, including staging, intermediate, and data mart models.
- Architect secure, reliable, and high-performance data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and enterprise data products.
- Lead migration of legacy ETL solutions to modern, code-first, version-controlled data engineering frameworks.
- Design and optimize data pipelines using SQL, Python, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Implement data governance, metadata management, data quality controls, and master data management (MDM) best practices.
- Design SOX-compliant data environments, including access controls, audit readiness, change management, and ITGC processes.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes using GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Design event-driven data architectures leveraging distributed streaming technologies such as Kafka where applicable.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support microservices-based architectures and enterprise integration requirements.
- Continuously optimize platform performance, scalability, security, and operational efficiency while promoting modern data engineering standards.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related enterprise data roles.
- 5+ years of hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, and SQL/Python notebooks.
- Strong proficiency in dbt, including data modeling, testing frameworks, documentation, and CI/CD integration.
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills for large-scale data transformation and pipeline development.
- Proven experience designing and managing SOX-controlled data environments, governance frameworks, and audit-ready architectures.
- Strong background migrating legacy ETL platforms to modern cloud-native data engineering solutions.
- Experience working with the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure DevOps, and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
- Knowledge of Finance Data Intelligence, Master Data Management (MDM), distributed event streaming platforms such as Kafka, and microservices architecture.
- Experience designing enterprise data products for Finance, Accounting, Tax, or related business domains.
- Strong analytical, architectural, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
