The Data Warehouse Architect will be responsible for defining and delivering data solutions and contribute to the development and implementation of IT business analytics plans in line with the overall strategy of IT and the business. The architect is primarily responsible for Extracting, Transforming and Loading (ETL) data from the core systems to the Data Warehouse for our Business Intelligence analytic solutions. This role requires the person be an experienced leader with deep hands-on experience in customer analytics, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
70% Data Management and Analytics
- Partners with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements for data warehouse design
- Partners with business teams to define and document business requirements for new data warehouse facts and dimensions
- Designs, develops, and maintains Data Warehouse extract, translate, and load tools
- Performs quality assurance against data warehouse databases
- Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of Data Warehouse tables
- Identifies and analyzes errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions
- Creates written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations
- Creates ad hoc queries and views on a frequent basis to assist management in understanding, researching and analyzing issues
- Ability to self-manage projects and potentially manage staff, as needed
- Handle Data Warehouse help desk tickets as assigned.
10% M&A Migration
- Participate in discussion and collaboration of due diligence and evaluation of systems
- Participate in the development integration timeline and communications 10% SPC Initiatives
10% SPC LOB Technology Initiatives
- Participate in cross-organizational teams to develop solutions meeting the needs of SP&C

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, computer science, management information systems, finance, statistics, or related fields. MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years’ experience in data warehouse design, ETL, and business and marketing analytics with 10 of those years in Informatica IICS (cloud service applications or SQL in Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, including, but not limited to: queries, stored procedures, functions, etc.
- Deep knowledge of insurance industry; MedMal a bonus
- Previous experience leading a team preferred
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
- Advanced knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture including BI Practices, Data structures, and data modeling
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to work with other senior and junior associates; provide coaching to others on the team
- Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
- Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and issue resolution
- Experience presenting findings and actionable recommendations
- Professional image with the ability to form good partner relationships across functions

Position Salary Range$96,465.00 - $159,184.00The salary range displayed represents the entirety of the pay grade for this position. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, your location and comparison to other team members already in this role.
