The engineer will help maintain command-priority applications such as the ANGRC HR Management Tool, Flying Hour Tool, Commander’s Hub, and ANG Kneeboard while ensuring reliable integration with enterprise data pipelines and repositories.

Salary range $129,000 to $179,000 annually

Key Responsibilities
- Provide full lifecycle software maintenance, code updates, performance tuning, integration, release support, and defect remediation for CDAO-managed applications.
- Support the ANGRC HR Management Tool, Flying Hour Tool, Commander’s Hub, ANG Kneeboard, and other approved CDAO applications and features.
- Develop and maintain application integrations with data pipelines, data warehouses/lakes, APIs, Power Platform components, Palantir, and cloud data services.
- Translate approved requirements into technical designs, application features, interfaces, data mappings, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and performance testing; support Government UAT and resolve critical/high defects before production release.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot incidents, with rapid triage of critical application bugs and coordination of root-cause resolution.
- Maintain code, configuration, deployment assets, and technical documentation under version control and established CI/CD practices.
- Apply secure-development practices, least-privilege access, data-protection requirements, and CUI-handling procedures throughout the application lifecycle.
- Provide technical support to ANG stakeholders and create/update operational runbooks, release documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining enterprise applications through requirements, design, build, integration, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Experience in integrating applications with relational/analytical data stores, APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud services.
- Proficiency in one or more relevant development technologies such as Python, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform, or comparable enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, defect tracking, release management, and production troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of secure software-development practices, data protection, identity/access controls, and regulated enterprise environments.
- Must satisfy applicable DoD/DAF security, cybersecurity-awareness, CUI, OPSEC, and access-training requirements.
- Experience with Power Apps/Power Automate, Power BI, Azure Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Microsoft Azure, or Advana/WDP.
- Familiarity with Air Force/ANG HR, financial, readiness, logistics, or operational systems and data.
