Job Titlle : Data and Software Application Engineer

In this role, you

develop and maintain software applications for Philips Service Parts Supply Chain (SPS), including workflow applications, process automations, Control Towers and Artificial Intelligence implementations which span over all SPS functions, such as Supply Management, Forward Supply Chain, Reverse Supply Chain, Planning, Parts Lifecycle Management, Customer Order Fulfilment, Parts Quality, etc.

You are responsible for

  • Maintaining existing SPS database & software applications.
  • Designing and developing new software applications in collaboration with business process owners and experts, subject matter experts, IT and other partners to enhance customer experience and ensure operational excellence while safeguarding SPS processes.
  • Ensuring SPS software applications are documented and well understood by key stakeholders.
  • Securing the right software quality by supporting (and participating in) the execution of the software validation process as required.
  • Acting as a point of contact for questions regarding the SPS software applications at the business level.
  • Leading or contributing to incident resolutions and issue resolutions regarding the SPS software applications.
  • Supporting business in clean-up following incident resolution.
  • Supporting business and IT by sharing knowledge, experience and perspective.
  • Contributing to a data and digital platform architecture that enables integration with existing applications and extensions with new technologies, especially with AI.

Service Parts Supply Chain (SPS) is the single service parts provider within Philips Healthcare. SPS is responsible for the total service parts supply chain from the factory/suppliers to the regions. The strategy is to maximize the service part availability, minimize the total cost of operation and minimize the inventory level. To realize this strategy, SPS operates a global service parts network, including supply management, strategic planning, supply chain execution systems, forward Logistics (warehouse/distribution), Business Partner Management, reverse logistics and IT tools.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years) Hands-on experience in programming (asp.NET, C#, javascript, SQL, etc.) and Oracle databases, especially for workflow applications.
  • Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Experience in software validation preferred.
  • Experience in AI implementation preferred.
  • Able to work on multiple projects at once at both an individual and team level.
  • Result oriented, persuasive, encouraging and motivating.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to interact effectively with colleagues on management and leadership level.
  • Proven global skills; experience in a cross-cultural environment teamwork.
  • Good prioritization skills, keeping what is most important to the success of the business always in view.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
