JOB SUMMARY

The Data and Program Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the systems and applications owned by the Non-Financial Risk department and will serve as a contact point for requests and/or issues that arise related to these systems and applications. Tasks handled involve an emphasis on data retrieval, analysis, and presentation. Will provide support in the execution and/or creation of process automation scripts, department models and dashboards, as well as support in department projects. Will also be responsible for quality control testing of various aspects of the department to ensure reviews are properly conducted.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct research, analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports.
  • Identify and resolve issues and problems; includes but is not limited to reading through system documentation, conducting online research and speaking to subject matter experts at the branch
  • Identify trends, atypical situations, or other issues that may require special consideration or procedures
  • Present findings and/or recommendations when necessary
  • Validate data and implement quality control measures to ensure the continued success of various department processes.
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities while supporting the various process owners
  • Assist management in the execution of existing automation scripts and the creation of new ones, as needed
  • Assist management with the development of metrics, KPIs and dashboards when required
  • Assist management in various projects, as needed
  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read and write English and Spanish
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
  • Travel as required
  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested
  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

COMPUTER:

Ability to operate a PC and use the common Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as the Google Suite equivalents (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Additionally, the following skills/experience are required unless otherwise noted:

Required:

  • Strong programming skills with Python
  • Capable of navigating SQL databases and generating Data Query Language

(DQL) statements to extract data and generate reports from SQL databases

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI (preferred) or Google Datastudio.
  • Capable of using formulas to conduct quick data analysis in Microsoft Excel; must be comfortable doing v-lookups and pivot tables.

Experience with the following systems is preferred but not required:

  • Experian Assist//ck
  • Salesforce
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Visio
  • IBM i (AS400)
  • Fortra GoAnywhere MFT or other managed file transfer software
  • Databricks

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of work experience/projects demonstrating strong data analysis components.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

The following certificates are preferred, but not required:

  • Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar
  • FIBA Anti-Money Laundering Certified Associate (AMLCA)

EXPERIENCE:

4 years of relevant experience working with data
