Job Overview 

The Data & Analytics Lead is primarily responsible for managing the data governance program and analytics solutions that improve enterprise data integrity, security, and availability in alignment with the organization’s goals and business objectives. The incumbent in this position works cross-functionally to implement policies, procedures and standards and supports projects and/or high-impact business initiatives of variable duration and complexity, requiring direct consultation with business partners, technical subject matter experts, and IT service providers.

Job Specific Accountabilities 

Data Governance 
Leads the Data Governance Council to manage data and change requests from the organization. Ensures the accuracy, completeness and reliability of data by developing and maintaining data governance practices, policies and procedures. Drives compliance measures, such as regulatory monitoring and internal audits, for IT and data practices.

Technical + Advisory Support 
Engages business partners to understand critical business and project requirements and provide technical expertise with data and analytical tools. Identifies opportunities to enhance data collection processes and analysis. Works cross-functionally develop and execute training to use the end data for analysis.

Data Analysis 
Ensures descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive data analysis solutions, models, and processes support data governance standards and address enterprise data management needs. Integrates models and repositories with other cloud services, applications or APIs to enable seamless interactions and data exchange across different systems and platforms. Creates visual representations of data (charts, graphs, dashboards) to make complex data more understandable and facilitate communication with stakeholders. 

Documentation 
Leads key systems and process documentation efforts and develops procedure manuals. Establishes and maintains a centralized repository for documentation that is easily accessible to relevant personnel while ensuring security measures are in place to protect sensitive information. 

Project Management 
Provides end-to-end management on all aspects of an assigned technology project(s), ensuring timely competition and adequate resource management.

  • Ability to derive enterprise-level and project-level solutions to support systems integration, business transformation initiatives, and automation of data workflows.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and define successful analytics outcomes by applying mastery of diverse data governance, analytics and visualization skills. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and use strong consulting skills to determine actionable recommendations and set the technical direction for solution design and implementation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership and teams, using data to illustrate key insights and recommendations related to systems and business performance.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research and/or equivalent related work experience.
  • Seven or more years of progressive responsibility working with enterprise-level business intelligence platforms (such as Microsoft PowerBI), data analysis, data dictionaries (such as Solution Design References or Codebooks), and/or technology projects related to data management. 
  • Three or more years of data engineering experience, including standardizing and managing data collection or ingestion, ensuring data integrity through system configuration or data transformation, integrating data across multiple systems, and building systems for scalability.
  • Advanced understanding software engineering best practices. 
  • Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred: writing and maintaining scripting code (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.), working with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud providers, and working with agile and methodologies.
  • Proficient (written and verbal) in English.

Salary/Benefits

This position offers a base salary range of $90,000 -$115,000 . Base salary may be flexible based on skills, certifications, location and/or qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan up to 15%. This position offers full-time benefits inclusive of medical/dental insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement program, paid time off, paid holidays and more as well as periodic review for merit and incentive pay based on organizational and personal achievement.
