Citibank, N.A. seeks a Data Analytics Lead Analyst for its Tampa, Florida location.
Duties: Leverage Python to develop financial crime detection tools and identify threats based on data insights and patterns. Aim to reduce unproductive alerts and false positives by using typologies and rules. Analyze data to discover synthesized insights. Perform extensive statistical data and exploratory analyses to identify transaction trends and behavioral patterns. Perform data mining and data analysis to prepare the dataset needed for financial threat insights identification. Use Hadoop and Spark to develop data extraction processes for various analytical initiatives and ad-hoc requests that support the AML organization. Develop machine learning solutions to effectively identify outliers. Handle grouping of a large-scale data and extract insights based on the detected behavior patterns to perform data analytics. Leverage data visualization to design and develop data dashboards, present the findings to management, and document the information for stakeholders. Support and drive business-led initiatives to improve data quality, productivity and effectiveness of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. Use Hive query analytics to fetch a large-scale historic data and SQL to extract enterprise data sources for extensive data analyses in support of the crime detection initiatives. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, Electronic Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience as an Applications Support Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related position involving large scale data mining and analysis for a global bank. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full term of experience must include: Python and SQL; Data visualization for data dashboards design and development; Hive Query Language; and Hadoop and Spark.
