Data Analyst
Ecolab is seeking a Analyst – Procurement Systems & Analytics to join the Analytics & Digital Solutions (ADS) team within Ecolab Digital, supporting Global Supply Chain and Procurement.
This role sits at the intersection of procurement, data analytics, and systems, driving transformation across spend visibility, data governance, and reporting enablement. The ideal candidate will combine strong procurement domain expertise, data analytics capability, and systems understanding (SAP/GEP/BI tools) to deliver scalable insights and process improvements that support global sourcing strategies.
What You'll Do
As a member of the Procurement Analytics team, you will drive data standardisation, vendor mapping, and reporting consistency across global systems. Enable data-driven decision-making through scalable dashboards, analytics solutions, and process improvements. Partner closely with Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital/Product teams to ensure alignment, data integrity, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Data & Category Governance
- Standardise and classify vendors and spend categories to support global category & Spend management
- Ensure consistency across systems (SAP, GEP, data lake) for master and transactional data
- Support ongoing data quality, validation, and governance initiatives
- Systems & Reporting Enablement
- Work with data engineering and product teams to define data requirements, mappings, and transformations
- Enable scalable reporting by improving data pipelines, data models, and reporting frameworks
- Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual reporting effort
- Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Digital teams to ensure data alignment and business relevance
- Present insights and recommendations through clear, executive-ready visualisations and storytelling
- Influence decision-making by providing data-backed recommendations
- Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, data standards, and analytics frameworks
- Identify and implement opportunities for standardisation, efficiency, and scalability
What You'll Need
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a data analytics role, with a focus on procurement and spend analysis.
- Proven track record of handling large, complex procurement datasets across direct and indirect categories.
- Experience in vendor mapping, classification, and performance evaluation to support global category management.
Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and spend categories.
- Familiarity with supplier performance metrics, compliance frameworks, and global procurement standards.
- Ability to translate procurement data into actionable insights for category managers and leadership.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools; advanced knowledge of Power BI is a strong advantage.
- Skilled in data cleaning, transformation, and building dashboards that highlight spend trends, vendor risks, and savings opportunities.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, capable of identifying anomalies and opportunities in procurement data
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex procurement insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, collaborating with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ability to influence decision-making by delivering data-driven recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
Problem-Solving & Mindset
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing procurement challenges through data.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred.

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
