As a Data Analyst at Prophix, you will serve as the primary technical authority and executive-facing advisor for a portfolio of client engagements — translating complex data challenges into scalable, production-ready analytics solutions that drive measurable outcomes. You will work directly with C-suite leaders and senior executives to lead solution design and delivery across everything from ETL pipelines to dynamic dashboards, bridging raw data infrastructure and the strategic decisions your clients need to make with confidence. Based in Perth, this role suits someone who combines deep technical capability with the presence and communication skills to lead at the executive level.

What You Will Do

• Lead structured discovery engagements to surface unstated requirements, assess existing data ecosystems, and define solution scope aligned to measurable client outcomes — translating complex stakeholder needs into actionable solution designs.
• Design and implement end-to-end ETL pipelines that move data reliably from source to insight, built to scale with your clients' evolving needs.
• Build dynamic dashboards and data visualizations that make complex information accessible and meaningful for a range of business audiences.
• Develop algorithms and process structures to compute business rules and complex calculations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across client solutions.
• Produce clear, well-structured solution documentation that supports client understanding, adoption, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead client-facing engagements with senior executives and business leaders, guiding them through technology evaluations, solution design, and delivery with confidence and clarity.
• Own the full arc of client engagements — from scoping through sign-off — managing timelines, quality standards, and documentation with a high degree of autonomy and without requiring close supervision.
• Manage your time and delivery commitments across a portfolio of billable client engagements, maintaining utilisation in line with Professional Services team targets.

 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-oriented field such as Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst or similar role, with a track record of delivering analytics solutions in a client or stakeholder-facing environment.
• Practical experience with ETL and analytics platforms, including one or more of the following: Microsoft Fabric, KNIME, Alteryx, DataRobot, or DataIku.
• Demonstrated experience designing computational logic and algorithms to model complex business rules and calculations within analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in data visualization using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Database experience with one or more of the following: SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and guide technical conversations with senior executives and business leaders.
• Solid project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally approximately 3–4 times per year.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
• Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
• Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
• Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches
• Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in Data Science or Business Administration.
• Experience with machine learning, predictive modelling, or image processing techniques.
• Coding skills with experience building or consuming REST APIs in support of data pipeline or analytics solution delivery.
• Familiarity with advanced statistical or algorithmic methods applied to real-world business problems.
• Exposure to enterprise data architecture or multi-platform technology stack evaluations in a consulting or professional services context.

What Success Looks Like

30 days: You know our platform, our customers, and how your team operates. You’ve completed onboarding and are contributing to live work. 

 90 days: You’re working independently, owning deliverables end to end, and building relationships across functions and regions. 

6 months: Your fingerprints are on something real. You’ve improved a process, shipped something meaningful, or earned a seat at the table on a decision that matters.
