The Data Analyst will translate complex renewable energy datasets, such as renewable energy contract and wholesale electricity pricing, generation, emissions, and other energy market and customer behavior data, into clear, decision-ready dashboards, reports, and visual narratives. This role partners closely with commercial and product teams to define metrics, ensure data quality, and communicate insights that drive decision-making both within the company and for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Data Visualization Products: use the Omni business intelligence & analytics tool to build data visualizations for internal and external customers.
  • Gather Customer Requirements and Define Product Scope: work with the Product team to translate customer needs into well-defined products that drive high levels of engagement with LevelTen’s data.
  • Transition Legacy Data Products: transition data products from legacy tools such as Tableau into the Omni platform.
  • Be a Custodian of LevelTen Data: make sure that all of the data products we produce are consistent and the data we use is accurate, well-defined, and organized effectively.
  • Know the Context: learn about our business, wholesale electricity markets, and the renewable energy industry to understand the nuance behind our data and be confident in the end results you produce.
Qualifications
  • Required Experience: a minimum of 5 years of experience building data visualizations using complex datasets that require extensive curation and modeling.
  • Preferred Experience: 2+ years of experience in a role related to wholesale electricity markets and/or renewable energy.
  • Required Technical Skills: expert proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, dbt, and version control tools.
  • Preferred Technical Skills: high proficiency in Omni (or similar BI tool), BigQuery, Javascript, Vega-Lite, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Other Required Skills: demonstrated history of being a customer-focused team player who is able to own data deliverables throughout the entirety of the product cycle: from data curation through creation of effective data visualizations.

Additional Information
  • This position is based out of our office in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule). 
  • The estimated compensation for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
