As a Data Analyst, you will support our data team in delivering trusted, high‑quality data that empowers strategic decision‑making across the business.
Your role and responsibilities
Shape the Insights That Drive Real‑World Impact
- Assist in transforming raw data into intuitive reports, dashboards, and insights used across the business.
- Support senior analysts in identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities that influence strategic decisions.
- Contribute to building and maintaining data models and definitions that power business intelligence.
Build, Clean & Prepare the Data That Fuels Innovation
- Clean, validate, and prepare datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Build foundational dashboards using tools like Power BI.
- Write basic SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Help maintain documentation, including data dictionaries and process notes.
Test, Learn & Improve Our Data Products
- Participate in testing data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics tools.
- Monitor data quality and identify unusual patterns or inconsistencies early.
- Assist teams by troubleshooting data issues and supporting ticket resolution.
Help Evolve Our Reporting & Automation Power
- Improve reporting templates, processes, and workflows with guidance from senior team members.
- Support simple automation tasks (scheduled reports, recurring analyses).
- Provide input on opportunities for smarter, faster data delivery.
Support New Tools, Tech & Data Initiatives
- Assist with rolling out new data tools, platforms, or analytics features.
- Follow internal standards around governance, documentation, and compliance.
- Contribute ideas and energy to AI‑driven enhancements and smarter analytics.
You are an ideal candidate if you have
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence environment.
- In-depth understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Exposure Power BI or another visualisation tool.
- Basic knowledge of Python, R, SAS, or similar tools (beneficial, not required).
- Fintech/Payments experience is a bonus!
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, etc.) or similar practical experience.

An oh-so (or Ozow) easy, automated and ultra-secure EFT solution that helps customers pay in just a few seconds, merchants can initiate Ozow payments through a variety of payment platforms, such as SMS, eCommerce, eBilling, QR Code and instore Point-of-Sale (POS).
