Job DescriptionSummary
The Advanced Analytics team is looking for a talented and motivated individual to be part of a team that uses data and tools to create insightful reports containing analytics that enable the company to make better decisions and strengthen customer service. This individual must continually strive to expand data utilization, visualization techniques and sharpen actionable insights. The ideal candidate possesses innate curiosity and vision to create insightful data analysis and solutions.
We are looking for the following criteria in filling this position. They are:
- SAS Visual Analytics skills for report development (or any other application for reporting analytical solutions)
- SAS and SQL programming skills
- Knowledge of technical skills – to interpret, identify and perform analysis using various analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the team to design and create valuable visualizations based on the business challenge
- Exhibit a clear understanding of the business opportunity
- Determine which data sources should be analyzed to thoroughly address the business opportunity
- Identify relationships among variables and data trends, and articulate findings
- Construct plans to demonstrate how the data can be used to create value for the business
- Use advanced statistical and predictive analysis tools to help/assist the viewers in decision making process
- Evaluate existing reports and communicate improvement opportunities
- Summarize findings in a professional format that is easily understandable
- Ensure all projects are well organized, documented and meet deadlines
- Ensure the most appropriate reporting methods are for each analysis
Required
- 3+ years’ experience with similar position
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the areas of Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or Information Systems
- Knowledge of SAS programming and visualization techniques
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Outlook
- Experienced using relational databases and relevant business data - Market, Survey, Sales and CRM, etc.
- Must be able to maintain and communicate detailed project documentation (meeting notes, data integrity & project findings)
- Must be willing to work in the Bensenville/Chicago area
Desired
- Master’s degree in the areas of Business, Supply Chain/Logistics or Information Systems
- Expert in analytical programming techniques
- Expert in SAS Visual Analytics and Statistical Analytics. SAS Certification would be ideal
- Advanced proficiency with SAS programming and SAS Visual Analytics Exploration and Reporting
- Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
- Knowledge of Machine Learning methods
- Ability to innovate when defining new or modifying existing business processes

Expected base salary: $60,000 - $80,000
