Scope: 

TTM Technologies is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with a focus on IBM Cognos and dashboard development to support our Aerospace and Defense (A&D) operations. This role is critical in driving our Demand Management and forecasting efforts, particularly in areas related to PCBs, microelectronics, and assembly. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for forecasting and managing demand across our product lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Demand Management and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with the Demand Management team to refine dashboards and forecasting models using IBM Cognos.
• Analyze demand trends and forecast accuracy to support decision-making in PCB, microelectronics, and assembly production.
• Provide data-driven insights to optimize inventory levels and ensure alignment with production schedules.

Dashboard Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports in IBM Cognos to support forecasting and demand management.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their specific needs in the A&D sector and translate them into effective data visualizations.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide accurate and timely insights.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance in the A&D sector.
• Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports for demand management and forecasting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Support the business in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand management and develop dashboards to monitor them.

IBM Cognos Oversight:

• Work closely with IT to ensure the IBM Cognos system is up-to-date, secure, and operating efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to IBM Cognos reports and dashboards.

Data Governance and Quality:

• Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity and quality across all reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data owners and IT to maintain clean and consistent data sources.
• Conduct regular audits of data sources and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with business requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, operations, and sales, to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in IBM Cognos, including report building, dashboard design, and administration.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Aerospace and Defense, particularly with PCBs, microelectronics, and assembly, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Must be willing and able to travel
• U.S. citizen with current security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance
• Experience in demand management and forecasting within the Aerospace and Defense sector preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced data analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and machine learning preferred.
• Certification in IBM Cognos or other relevant technologies preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.

Education:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
