The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to leverage data to inform strategic and operational decisions within the search engine business covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both descriptive and diagnostics analysis, data visualization & storytelling, and ad hoc analysis for business users and different business requirements. The experience in user behavior and user journey is highly important and preferred for this position.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, math, statistics, (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a data analyst
- Prior experience building Marketing Analytics BI functionality from scratch
- Solid understanding of data acquisition, statistical analysis, data review, and visualization
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
- Prior experience in Fine BI, Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
- Take charge of the local operation effect of search products and regional service KPIs such as the user and search traffic, CP and category performances, retention and channel performances etc.
- Interpret varied data sources to create a story to inform better decision-making and create key performance dashboard according to requirements both local and global by focusing on each area in search product
- Collaborate with related departments and analyze their needs and Provide and develop necessary reporting solutions
- Ensure that produced reports work efficiently
- Execute standards for data quality that ensures reliability and accessibility
- Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
- Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
