About the team and the role:
eBay is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Ethics and Compliance team! This position will be based in Bengaluru, India. The role will report to the Ethics & Compliance Testing & Monitoring Lead and will support the Ethics & Compliance function by using data analytics, automation, and AI to improve monitoring, investigations, training, and annual compliance programs.
What you will accomplish:
Build and run periodic testing and monitoring frameworks for Ethics & Compliance policies.
Develop tools and data repositories to consolidate compliance data and support reporting.
Integrate AI into day-to-day Ethics & Compliance activities and identify practical use cases.
Provide data analysis support for investigations and whistleblower matters.
Support compliance training through analytics, reporting, and targeted insights.
Analyze annual programs such as Ethics Surveys, Conflict of Interest questionnaires, certifications, and risk assessments.
Develop dashboards, reports, risk indicators, and management insights.
Work with cross-functional teams to obtain, validate, and analyze relevant data.
What you will bring:
The ideal candidate should have 3+ yrs of experience in data analytics, data visualization, automation, and AI tools.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel for data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to build dashboards and communicate insights clearly.
Knowledge of data automation and workflow optimisation to improve recurring monitoring and reporting processes.
Understanding of statistical analysis, trend identification, and anomaly detection to support risk and compliance reviews.
Prior exposure to compliance, risk, audit, fraud, or investigations workstreams is strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively; proficiency in English is required.
Ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree is mandatory. Additional relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
