Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking one or more Junior to Mid-Level Data Analysts to support AST's role in an upcoming federal program, contingent upon award and successful negotiation of a subcontract. These positions will support AST's responsibilities across multiple work streams by providing data analysis, performance reporting, technical assistance coordination, stakeholder support, and operational analysis in support of a national initiative designed to expand artificial intelligence (AI) readiness across the United States.
Working collaboratively with the AST Project Manager / Task Lead, the project prime contractor, partner organizations, and the client, Data Analysts will support program execution through data collection and analysis, performance monitoring, technical assistance activities, operational reporting, and coordination of project activities. Successful candidates will help ensure timely execution of project deliverables while supporting continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.
This is a contingent position. Employment is contingent upon AST's successful negotiation of a subcontract and subsequent award.
Position is remote. Periodic travel within the United States may be required to support partner meetings, workshops, technical assistance activities, and annual convenings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support execution of AST's assigned responsibilities across multiple workstreams.
Collect, analyze, and report program data to support project performance monitoring and decision-making.
Develop and maintain milestone tracking tools, performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), executive dashboards, and recurring reports.
Support implementation of technical assistance activities, Coordination Hub engagement, and Communities of Practice.
Assist with stakeholder engagement activities, workshops, webinars, technical meetings, and collaborative working sessions.
Conduct operational analyses to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Develop reports, presentations, briefing materials, and other project documentation.
Maintain project records, shared resources, and knowledge management repositories.
Coordinate with project staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables.
Support quality assurance activities for reports, data products, and project documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, public policy, engineering, computer science, information technology, data analytics, statistics, economics, social sciences, or a related field.
Two (2) to five (5) years of experience supporting federal, state, university, nonprofit, or industry programs.
Experience collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support program management and decision-making.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience preparing reports, presentations, and professional documentation.
Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting project milestones and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Additional Information:
Position is contingent upon award and execution of a subcontract.
Employment is expected to begin following contract award and successful subcontract negotiation.

We are committed to offering a competitive compensation package that reflects the value and expertise that each candidate brings to our team.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is $75,000 - $90,000.
