Junior Data Engineer - Wizz

You'll be working on Wizz, a social app specifically designed for teens, boasting over 3 million monthly active users in the US and UK. Wizz is a friend-finding and chat app where young people can safely express themselves and connect with like-minded peers in an authentic, pressure-free environment. Unlike other social media platforms that focus on followers, posts, or passive consumption, Wizz offers young people a space to have meaningful 1:1 conversations with peers.
As a member of a high-performing team of 20, you'll collaborate to further scale and enhance Wizz, fostering a spirit of goodwill and creativity. As Wizz continues its dynamic growth and development, we are seeking an ambitious Senior Data Analyst to join us.

Role

• Build data workflows using tools like DAG and dbt, while developing and maintaining dynamic dashboards for clear visualization of key metrics.

• Conduct thorough analyses of pre and post product changes, defining KPIs and prioritizing initiatives based on expected impact.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AB testing, analyzing results, and improving testing frameworks for enhanced product evaluation.

• Align performance metrics with strategic goals to define quarterly objectives, ensuring decisions are data-driven and well-informed.

Profile

• You are fluent in French & English

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and manipulation ; experience with scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus.

• Familiarity with data modelisation tools such as dbt ; experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau and Looker is a plus

• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to balance the tradeoff between time-consuming development and rapid results

• Strategic mindset with the ability to align data analyses with broader business objectives and drive impact through strategic initiatives

• Bonus point if you are familiar with a product analysis tool (Mixpanel, Amplitude, ...)
