Job DescriptionAs a Data Analyst for Spain, you will be the analytical engine behind Glovo’s largest and most complex market. This isn't a "back-office" role; you will be the primary data partner for every major department in the country—from Commercial and Logistics to Finance and Global Affairs.
Your mission is to own the data lifecycle for the Spanish territory. You will translate massive datasets into strategic clarity, building the BigQuery pipelines and Python models that allow our leadership to make high-stakes decisions in real-time. If you have the technical grit to automate complex ETL processes and the communication skills to influence stakeholders across 7+ departments, this is your ride.
THE JOURNEY
Build the Backbone: Design and maintain robust ETL processes and data models within BigQuery, ensuring the Spanish team has a single, reliable source of truth.
Empower Through Visualization: Create high-impact dashboards in Looker and Tableau that allow stakeholders to monitor performance and spot trends at a glance.
Solve the "Why": Use Python and SQL to perform deep-dive analyses on delivery efficiency, marketing ROI, and commercial growth, turning raw numbers into actionable business strategies.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a data consultant for Spain’s departmental leads, helping them define KPIs, automate manual reporting, and foster a data-first culture.
Scale the Largest Market: Continuously optimize our data infrastructure to handle the unique scale of the Spanish market (our #1 country), ensuring our systems grow as fast as our ambitions.
MUST HAVE
Tools: 0–1 years expert SQL (BigQuery preferred) and strong Python for data manipulation/automation.
Vision: Proven experience building/maintaining ETL processes; able to structure data for scale.
Storytelling: "Data Artist" mindset, hands-on Looker/Tableau experience to visualize complex data for non-technical audiences.
Background: Mid-level experience (approx. 2–3 years) in a high-growth tech, marketplace, or analytical consultancy environment.
Communication: Professional English & Spanish fluency; ability to easily explain technical issues to Finance/Logistics leads.
Foundation: Degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or similar).
