We are a virtual-first practice dedicated to improving the primary care experience for Medicare & Dually Eligible individuals as well as our providers. We founded Heyday Health because we saw the health system leaving our elderly loved ones behind and were driven to create a better solution. Our practice is being built from the ground up with the mission of transforming how, where, and when we deliver care to achieve exceptional outcomes.

As a Data Analyst at Heyday Health, you will be responsible for analyzing clinical, claims, and operational data to drive actionable insights that improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs. You will play a critical role in measuring performance, identifying care gaps, supporting risk adjustment strategies, and informing decision-making for clinical and executive leadership. The role will include the following responsibilities, but not be limited to:

  • Data Collection and Management
    • Extract data from EHRs, claims, and patient registries.
    • Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats.
    • Ensure data accessibility and integrity in BI tools.
  • Reporting and Dashboarding
    • Create daily, weekly, or monthly dashboards and reports for stakeholders (clinical, operational, and financial teams).
    • Track key VBC metrics like readmission rates, quality measures (e.g., HEDIS), cost per patient, and care gaps.
    • Develop and maintain contractual reports.
  • Analysis and Insights
    • Analyze trends in utilization, cost, and quality.
    • Identify high-risk patients or populations needing intervention (e.g., through risk stratification).
    • Perform cohort analyses to evaluate outcomes for different patient groups.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders
    • Work closely with clinicians, care managers, and operation teams to translate data into action.
    • Provide analytical input on program performance in meetings.
    • Train and support individuals in their use of data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst in healthcare.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience working with healthcare data sets, such as claims, EMR/EHR data, HCC/Risk Adjustment, or quality metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with value-based care organizations preferred.
  • Adequate knowledge of tools like Python or R for statistical analysis preferred.
