The Role

Data Analyst MFL/GEO Level 3 (ILI) sought by Mistras Group, Inc. in Houston, TX. 40 hrs./wk. Duties include: Interpret MFL & Geometry pipeline inspection data recorded by inspection tools to determine pipeline defects' location, categorization, & other attributes. Correlate analysis results to inspection data from previous inspections. Organize & produce reports of ILI tool analysis results. Complete advanced data analysis including corrosion growth, dent strain, bending strain. Resolve IMU solutions. Support advanced troubleshooting & strategy guidance for analysis projects. Interpret codes & standards (ILI-PQ). Review & sign off Final Rpts; may include presenting to clients. First point of contact for customer inquiries of findings, providing data info / interpretation support customer remedial measures. Communicate findings & provide support for excavations & measurement results. Provide training & mentoring to: Trainees, Level 1, & Level 2 Analysts. Perform QA/QC checks on Final Rpts. Key to estab. techniques, standardized procedures, & new training material. Support software dev. & testing. Identify & address data-related issues, can provide support & guidance to Field ILI & WL Techs. Remote work / telecommuting benefits available. Hybrid position. Must report to office 2 days per wk at 9745 Bent Oak Dr., Houston, TX 77040. Must reside in Metropolitan Statistical Area of office worksite. REQ.: Bach. degree, or foreign equiv., in Science, Eng’g, Info. Tech., Math, or related field. 3 yrs exp. in job offered or as ILI Data Analyst. CERTIFICATION REQ: Minimum of Data Analyst MFL/GEO Level 2 (ILI) per ANSI/ASNT-ILI-PQ-2005 (2010). SPECIAL REQ.: 3 yrs exp in: Data Analysis in an inline inspection (ILI) role, on lines from 3" to 36", both standalone & combination tools; applying knowledge of pipeline safety & compliance regs (AER/NEB/PHMSA); & applying knowledge of PHMSA Part 192 & 195 regs, API, NACE & ASME standards.
