The Role
Monitors and analyzes Workers Compensation exposure, claims, and regulatory data to improve data quality and support statutory reporting. Creates documentation, reports, and data submissions; resolves bureau criticisms, medical and indemnity data inquiries, and systemic anomalies. Supports surcharge and assessment payments, responds to ad hoc requests, and collaborates with business units and support teams to meet deadlines and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

. Monitor various exposure and claim data sets and work with Arch business units

and support teams to improve data quality and avoid financial penalties, where possible.

. Responsible for creating necessary documentation to support aggregate financial and state-specific Workers Compensation data call reporting for all of Arch’s business divisions.

. Fill role as key-contact for any obligations mirrored to handle Allianz legacy functions.

. Assist in the resolution of Unit Statistical Reports (USR) bureau criticisms or other external inquiries. Work with staff to remedy any systemic data anomalies.

. Assist in the resolution of Medical Data Call and Indemnity Data Call inquiries received from the various data collection organizations.

. Compile data, create reports from various systems and send them to staff for review

and submission.

. Assist in the fulfillment of WC surcharge and assessment payment obligations as needed in support of staff.

. Perform data collection and analysis in support of ad-hoc and recurring requests by staff.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including macro generation.

. Experience with relational databases and SQL.

. Strong foundational knowledge of Workers Compensation line of business is a plus.

. Firm understanding of regulatory requirements as it relates to statistical data call filings.

. Knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.

. Good written and oral communication skills.

. Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

. Must be able to manage the supervision of large data sets including analysis, accuracy, and attention to detailed definitions of data being requested.

. Willingness to advise management if something is unclear or if there are any suggestions for a potential improvement opportunity.

Additional Information

Education

. Bachelor's Degree in informational system or data science preferred.

. 2-5 working experience in Insurance/Finance field.
