As a Data Analyst Intern at Deriv, you will gather, process, transform, and organize data into actionable insights. Your methodical and logical approach will be crucial to maintaining data integrity. Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfiil data and business related requirements by understanding the business domain and converting them to data driven solutions, further improving customer experience, optimizing product or enabling process automation.
- Develop data models to cater for business analytics requirements while considering data privacy, data accessibility and data accuracy.
- Identify and resolve gaps in the data collection and analysis processes.
- Provide and maintain the reporting and analysis solutions in the form of dashboards or alerts, and present them to stakeholders.
- Support standardised business terminologies and definitions across the company.
Requirements:
- Knowledge on reporting packages, SQL, programming (Python/R), and ETL/ELT frameworks for data wrangling purposes
- Knowledge on data modeling and data aggregation best practices.
- Experience developing and building reports and dashboards with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Google Looker Studio, etc.
- Analytical skills with the ability to transform data into optimal business decisions
- Solid background in statistics, mathematics, or engineering
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Whats good to have:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) such as Google BigQuery, Scheduled queries, Google Cloud storage and functions
- Quality experience in relational SQL, preferably with PostgreSQL
- Data Science background.
- Understanding the marketing domain of financial products and services.
- Proficiency in using AI and low code data tools to create data solutions.
