Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to drive the business by assisting with general business intelligence and data related activities for the Individual division (Life Insurance, Annuities, Disability Insurance). This internship is scheduled to start January 2027.

This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.
What you do:
- Integrate data or reporting solutions with other applications and platforms.
- Produce and analyze data extracts and reports from systems.
- Contribute to solutioning business intelligence or reporting dashboard efforts with team, application owners, architects, business analysts and clients.
- Learn to utilize new application packages and tools and best practices.
- Identify technical requirements, create technical design specifications and documentation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and business analysts to develop and modify workflows and automation tasks.
What you bring:
- Must be enrolled in a college or university program full time (or at minimum ½ time) for the duration of the internship.
- Able to fulfill a long-term internship commitment working full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Full Time (summer) involves 30-40 hours a week
- Part Time (school year) involves 15-20 hours a week
- Consistently demonstrate initiative and a professional, self-directed approach to responsibilities and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Accept additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Demonstrate the ability to deal with pressure, to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
- Proven ability to work well and proactively communicate with all levels of management within the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Keen analytical skills and proven ability to develop effective financial analysis required.
- Extremely strong PC and Excel skills are required.
- Previous experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Cognos, or some combination thereof is desired.
