Under limited direction, this position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions. This includes data analysis, requirements gathering to support data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics development, as well as providing production operations support when needed. The role works collaboratively across functions to monitor data systems, improve operational efficiency, and support the bank’s data modernization and advanced analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess or be ready to develop expertise in the bank’s core business areas and demonstrate proficiency in data analysis in various data platforms and technologies. The successful candidate will be self-motivated action-oriented team player which embraces change and new technologies to enable innovation with scalable, resilient, and dynamic solutions.
QualificationsSenior level of competency with four to six years of data analysis in financial industry in a data intensive environment.
Four-year college degree required with emphasis in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or Business preferred, or 5 plus years of experience in data analysis in addition to regular experience requirement listed above. Certification in data analysis is preferred.
Deep technical expertise in SQL, and PowerBI. Ability to debug SQL code, orchestrated with .net and Cognos packages.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes, APIs, Python, Azure, Databricks, Azure Datalake, Medallion architecture, and SQL server.
Experience supporting production operations – Root Cause Analysis, Debugging
Experience with Microsoft Excel, specifically complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Ability work in Agile environment
Strong communication skills, especially in explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Passion for data analysis and experience in storytelling using the data.
Ability to think orderly, logically, and analytically and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work and travel independently and with other professionals, as well as use general office equipment, give speeches and make presentations.
Must be goal-oriented and have a strong sense of team solidarity.
