The Role

About the team & opportunity

What’s so great about working on Calendly’s Operations team?

We are the infrastructure of our business that allows us to scale to new heights.

Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Data Analyst II who will bring a strong business acumen, adept at visualizing data for a broad audience, and an expert at SQL with the ability to parse out data irregularities and optimize queries. You will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Analytics and will be responsible for finance & operations analysis and ad hoc requests. As a Data Analyst II, you will support teams across the business by exploring data, building clear dashboards in Hex, and delivering detailed ad hoc analyses. Your work will help inform decision-making for Finance and other departments by answering key questions, creating reusable reporting, and contributing to presentations that explain business trends.

A day in the life of a Data Analyst II at Calendly

On a typical day, you will dive into data to build dashboards in Hex, respond to ad hoc data requests, and conduct in-depth analyses that support decision-making across Calendly. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and cross-functional partners, helping uncover insights that inform day-to-day operations and strategic conversations.

  • Perform analysis using SQL, Python, and tools like Excel or Google Sheets to explore data, identify trends, and answer key business questions.
  • Answer key business questions and effectively communicate results across all levels of the business.
  • Define business metrics and assist in shaping scalable data models in BigQuery to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Become a champion of efficiency and growth by focusing on strategic, systems-minded analysis with an eye on optimization and process transformation.

What do we need from you?

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a role focused on analytics or business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in SQL (we use BigQuery) and data analysis/visualization tools (we use Hex).
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • Skilled at translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience collaborating across teams, toggling between technical intricacies and broader business objectives to drive effective decision-making
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

What’s in it for you?
