Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.

Nearly half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.

We’re a high-growth tech company changing the retirement industry. We’ve raised more than $700M in primary and secondary financings and are backed by a number of investors. Most recently, this includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, Glynn Capital, NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.

About the role

Data is central to our success. It forms the core of all of our customer facing reporting, but is also at the heart of how we make decisions as a company. We’re building the first full stack, automated retirement management platform in the industry – and data tells us how to optimize.

We are a fast-growing company, and it’s time to better utilize data in our decision-making.

You will architect and implement a data-driven strategy that meets the needs of key business areas. You will partner with business leaders from diverse backgrounds to identify opportunities where data can drive significant business value.

What you get to do every day

  • Be part of a dynamic and growing team that will help you level up your skills
  • Building and maintaining data models in DBT
  • Working with business partners to identify the key metrics for their product or vertical and help integrate data into their day-to-day operations
  • Working with engineers and product managers to set data-tracking requirements
  • Provide guidance, reports, and dashboards to successfully track and move these metrics
  • Automate manual work via improving reporting and automating workflows
  • Actively suggesting changes to help our customers and business based on a deep understanding of your product area
  • Leveraging quantitative techniques to provide insights that cannot be gleaned from dashboards

What you bring to the role

  • A desire to give stakeholders a clean, easy, and useful experience with data
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in analytics or data science in product, operations, or marketing-specific roles
  • BA/BS in behavioral science (economics, psychology, etc.) with strong statistical chops or a BA/BS in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or natural sciences
  • Ability to work with people across the company to identify business problems that should be solved with data & analytics
  • Expert-level SQL skills
  • Experience with BI tools
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis
  • Desire to help people better utilize data
