JOB SUMMARY

The Data Analyst Intern will work directly with the Director of Human Resources, HR team members, and Talent Acquisition (TA) team to support data-driven HR and recruiting operations and initiatives. This position will require collaboration with multiple departments and office locations to assist with HR- and recruitment-related data requests, reporting, and insights that support employee programs and hiring decisions.

The Data Analyst Intern will gain hands-on experience across people analytics, recruiting analytics, reporting, data management, and process optimization, including the use of AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation. This role requires analytical thinking, professionalism, discretion, strong organizational skills, and an interest in HR and talent analytics.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the HR and Talent Acquisition teams with data collection, cleaning, and reporting related to recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
    Support the development and maintenance of HR and recruiting dashboards and reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, candidate pipeline metrics).
    • Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to streamline reporting, automate repetitive tasks, and generate insights from HR and TA data.
    • Analyze HR and recruiting datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and actionable insights to support workforce planning and hiring decisions.
    • Assist with updates to HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including tracking data changes and performing data audits for accuracy and completeness.
    • Maintain and organize data files, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
    • Act as a liaison between HR, TA, and field team members when gathering or validating data and reporting requirements.
    • Support reporting and analysis for candidate pipelines, sourcing effectiveness, and recruiting funnel performance.
    • Assist with survey analysis and employee engagement reporting, including summarizing results and highlighting key themes.
    • Assist in building and maintaining documentation such as data definitions, reporting guides, and SOPs.
    • Support special HR and recruiting analytics projects as assigned by the Sr. Director of Human Resources.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay informed on HR and recruiting analytics best practices, workforce trends, and emerging AI tools that support people and talent analytics.
    Assist with KPI tracking, metrics reporting, and data compilation for HR and TA leadership reviews.
  • Support internal audits, data quality improvements, and process optimization initiatives across HR and Talent Acquisition.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently working toward completion) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior internship or administrative experience preferred but not required.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
