Data Analyst (Finance)

Platzi is looking for a Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience who combines strong analytical skills with a genuine affinity for finance and business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in transforming financial data into clear, actionable insights. This role is pivotal to establishing a single source of truth between Finance and Data, enabling smarter decisions across the organization.

As a Data Analyst on Platzi's Finance team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between financial operations and Platzi's data ecosystem. You will develop dashboards that provide C-level visibility into smart goals and key financial metrics, while ensuring data consistency and reliability across teams.

You will work closely with Finance stakeholders to deeply understand their processes, reporting needs, and pain points—then translate those into integrated, scalable data solutions. This role requires a mix of technical proficiency, financial literacy, and strong communication skills to become a trusted partner to the Finance team.

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics roles
• Strong affinity for finance, accounting, and business operations
• Advanced proficiency in SQL
• Experience with dbt and dimensional modeling concepts
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
• Experience building dashboards in BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Tableau, or similar)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical teams
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and governance

Nice to have:

• Experience with Omni Analytics
• Background working directly with Finance or Accounting teams
• Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting processes
• Understanding of SaaS metrics and business models
• A passion for education and learning

• Development and maintenance of Finance dashboards for smart goals and executive reporting
• Documentation and integration of Finance processes into Platzi's data ecosystem
• Establishing and maintaining a single source of truth for financial data
• Ongoing collaboration with the Finance team to identify data needs and opportunities
