At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher-quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant or your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.
What you’ll do
- Analyze large datasets to conduct exploratory analyses, applying various statistical methods to uncover anomalies, trends, patterns. Generate actionable insights and prototype solutions for seamless integration into the product.
- Define core product metrics that measure team success. Set goals, build forecasts, monitor performance, develop actionable reporting, and lead regular analytics reviews.
- Analyze user behavior data to identify and size opportunities for product improvement, influencing the product roadmap through insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to design and build customer-facing reports and data products as part of our core product offering.
- Build a data-driven culture from the ground up by establishing foundational data best practices and making data more accessible across the company.
What we’re looking for
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Operations, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles, with a strong preference for product analytics experience and working within Product teams.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills in English.
- A strong ability to thrive in ambiguity, taking initiative to create clarity and drive forward progress.
- Excitement to work in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing its challenges and opportunities.
- The ability to apply advanced statistical methods for rigorous analysis when necessary, while recognizing when a simple or scrappy approach is sufficient.
- [Bonus] Familiarity with prompt engineering and experience leveraging cutting-edge LLMs and their applications to automate workflows and enhance productivity.

This role is based in our Bogota office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we’re in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you’re constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we’re better as a team in-person. That’s why all of our teams (except for our field-based roles) are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week.
