Data Analyst works with the Analytics Manager and Business Relationship Managers on large-scale implementations or projects. The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing Advanced Analytics reports and dashboards to enable visibility, analysis, and business insight in support of strategic imperatives and ongoing business requirements. Advanced Analytics solutions include, but are not limited to, end-user reports and dashboards, advanced & custom data visualizations, native connectivity to multiple data sources, and data ingestion from web forms and various business applications.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, and deploy high-fidelity operational (visibility into what's happening now), strategic (track key performance indicators), and analytical (process data to identify trends, forecasts, and insights) reports and dashboards. The implementation process shall follow industry standards and best practices to ensure the security of information and user access points when deploying Business Analytical solutions.
- Support & maintain the analytics user experience, adoption and release management cycle of dashboard/report content, administration, and user maintenance. Ensuring all procedural documentation is up-to-date.
- Use standard customer engagement methods & tools for guided analytics, online training, and educational materials for the transfer/sharing of knowledge and mentoring of end-users
- Work on automation, process improvements, and resource productivity. Analyse and propose solutions to complex problems utilizing business and technical knowledge
What will you need to be Successful?
- Education: Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business analytics, data science, information sciences, computer science or relevant field
Licenses/Certifications:
- MS Fabric (including Power BI) highly recommended
- Power Platform's other tools highly recommended
- Python—highly recommended
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially in Excel (analytical functions, data visualization, VBA)
- SQL—highly recommended
Experience:
- 3+ years of extensive Power BI standard & custom visual development, design, wireframing, and storyboarding/storytelling experience.
- 3+ years of extensive experience in using SQL
- Expert designer of information visualizations and dashboards
- Strong knowledge of data analysis, modeling, report generation, and warehousing/data stores.
- Must have a high level of computer literacy with desktop and cloud-based productivity software such as Office365, Microsoft Office desktop applications, Microsoft Teams etc.
- Expert in selecting the right dashboard design and deployment method for business requirements
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (scrum specifically)

- Possess the ability to understand business strategy.

- Hands-on, able to work with and mentor team members
- Able to translate technical speaking into business speaking and vice versa, rationalize technical decisions to business.
