Position Summary:
At CardWorks, our mission is to provide customized and compliant servicing and asset management to our clients to produce their desired end-customer experience The DaaS Engineer role makes this possible by working with key stakeholders, including Technology teams, Client Relationship, Finance, Marketing and Risk Analytics and third-party providers to develop and administer solutions in Cardworks Data and Analytics environment.
This position is responsible for building process, maintaining, and fixing issues leveraging good technical and function skills. This role will deploy new processes, improve existing business processes, expand use of automation, and reduce manual efforts. This role will be responsible in working with Affiliates and Client Relationship for project work for internal and external clients, ensuring all internal audit controls and client specific policies are followed.
Essential Functions:
The position is in Data as a Service within Data and Analytics and will have the below duties to perform:
- Ownership of Data warehouse Project work assigned.
- Build knowledge and drive innovation and digital transformation by utilization of cloud tools and technologies recommended within the organization.
- Develop expert level understanding of internal processes and dependencies.
- Research and investigate issues / tickets and apply required fixes.
- Support for data / process validation for internal and client specific processes.
- Design and develop data extracts based on end user’s requirements.
- Ensure audit procedures and controls are followed and recommend improvements to the audit controls environment as needed.
- Ensure corporate standards are followed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Finance, Business Management, Information services or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Database, Data warehouse and Data Analytics environment
- Prior experience in querying databases and building processes for Data Warehouse
Summary of Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in programming languages SAS, SQL and Python
- Expert level understanding on Database and DWH concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective planning, organizational, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Developing proficiency in AWS tools and technologies and committed to advancing cloud skillsets.
- Leads and demonstrates CardWorks core values.
- Strives to gain knowledge of the company and business operations.
Ideally, the qualified candidate will work at the following location: South Jordan, UT. A hybrid work model or fully remote model can be considered based on hiring manager decision and priorities of the role.
