What you'll do
As a Balance Sheet Management Data & Analytics Lead, you will provide leadership and strategic expertise to develop critical data products, applications and analytics for balance sheet management within C&I with consideration for the customer, financial and risk outcomes. You will bring the experience of leading large, complex programmes of work to deliver world class data products with a strong engineering mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment. We’ll look to you to lead and develop multiple teams, fostering a high-performance culture with strong technical and business expertise.
Day to day you’ll:
- Oversee the development of next generation data products & applications to support balance sheet management, working closely with C&I CDIO, Treasury & C&I BSM
- Act as a key liaison between Finance, Treasury, C&I BSM, CDIO & Data teams to ensure a cohesive approach to data and analytics
- Work closely with Customer Data Programme to ensure and embed a strategic approach to adopting customer and organisation reference data
- Partner with enterprise architecture and technology teams to define data models, integration patterns and system enhancements
- Lead the adoption of cloud and modern data engineering practices to streamline data processing and improve analytical capabilities
- Ensure data lineage, metadata management and data quality processes are embedded within operational workflows
- Drive innovation in balance sheet analytics, leveraging advanced analytics techniques to enhance insights
- Represent data and analytics functions in balance sheet related forums
The skills you'll need
We're looking for an experienced people manager and data and analytics professional, who can really hit the ground running. You’ll need a strong understanding of data engineering, analytics and enterprise architecture with a good knowledge of balance sheet management (or demonstrable experience in understanding complex banking / financial markets use-cases).
You'll be able to draw on your previous leadership experience and use your analytical skills and strong understanding of data and tools to provide effective solutions to complex problems.
You'll also demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of building pricing & analytical products in a complex, multi-disciplined environment
- Proven track record in leading data and analytics teams, with expertise in data engineering, architecture and governance
- Strong technical knowledge of data platforms, cloud infrastructure and analytics tools
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives in a complex environment
- Experience working with large scale finance data and implementing enterprise-wide data solutions
