As a D365 FSCM Technical Consultant (Developer), you will be a key member of a team delivering complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management transformations.
This role is available on either a permanent or contract basis, with the engagement arrangement and contract term negotiable.
You will design, build and support the extensions, integrations, reports and data solutions that turn agreed solution designs into a working, supportable platform across finance, procurement, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing and end-to-end traceability.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong X++ and D365 FSCM development capability, sound engineering judgement and the confidence to work through complex requirements with functional consultants, solution architects, integration specialists and client technical teams. You will keep customisation lean and upgrade-safe, maintaining clear traceability from requirements through technical design, build, testing and deployment.
The delivery team works across Australia and New Zealand, with most project activities completed remotely and on-site attendance arranged where it adds value. You will need to work effectively across locations and time zones, remain visible and responsive to stakeholders, and collaborate closely with the wider project team.
What you’ll do
As a D365 FSCM Technical Consultant, you will be focused on:
- Translating functional designs into clear technical designs and estimates, and delivering high-quality X++ extensions using Chain of Command, event handlers and the extension framework.
- Building and maintaining integrations using data entities, the Data Management Framework (DMF), OData, custom services, business events, Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Functions and Service Bus) and Power Platform, including connections to manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, export, costing and other specialist operational systems.
- Developing reports and documents using SSRS, Electronic Reporting and Power BI, along with forms, workflows, batch jobs and security objects.
- Delivering technical solutions for warehouse and manufacturing processes, such as Warehouse Management mobile app extensions, scanning and label printing.
- Building data migration entities and packages, and supporting trial migrations, reconciliation and cutover.
- Managing source control, builds and releases through Azure DevOps, LCS and the Power Platform admin center, including environment management, deployable packages and One Version updates.
- Supporting unit, system, integration, performance and regression testing, resolving defects, and providing go-live and hypercare support.
- Maintaining clear technical documentation, following code review and quality standards, raising risks early, supporting the wider consulting team and promoting a healthy and safe culture.
We are an agile company, keen to respond to the changing requirements of our customers, technology and internal stakeholders. This can mean our roles evolve to meet those needs.
