D365 Finance Functional Consultant (6-month Contract)

Job Summary:
Oxford Nanopore has identified a programme of D365 Finance enhancement projects as part of its wider Finance systems roadmap and is seeking an experienced D365 Finance Functional Consultant to support the successful delivery of these initiatives.
Working closely with the Finance Leadership Team and the wider D365 team, the consultant will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will bring deep functional expertise across the core Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules, providing guidance and thought leadership on best practices for implementing and optimising key financial processes, including Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).
This is an excellent opportunity for a D365 Finance specialist to make a meaningful impact on a strategic programme of Finance transformation and continuous improvement.
Duties:
Projects include (but are not limited to) implementing:
- Consolidation entity
- Budgeting and budget planning modules
- Credit and collections functionality
- Customer prepayments
- Customer payment proposals
- Rebate management module
Delivery: Ownership of full lifecycle of project delivery including requirements gathering, solution design, D365 system configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Leadership, Finance SMEs and wider D365 team to deliver projects to a high standard.
Documentation: Produce functional specifications, As Is and To Be diagrams, SOPs and training guides.
Training: Deliver workshops, train-the-trainer sessions and end user training.
Essential Requirements:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (Exam MB-310)
- 7+ years hands-on experience of D365 F&O
- Experience of full implementation cycle of D365 Finance
- In-depth knowledge of the following D365 modules:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Assets
- Cash and Bank Management
- Budgeting
- Tax Management
- Project Management & Accounting
- Must be self-sufficient and able to deliver projects with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Very clear communicator
Desired Requirements:
- Relevant accounting professional qualifications e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA/RC, CPA/RA or other
- Prince 2, PMP or other certified project management qualification
- Experience working for implementation partners and directly for end users
- Knowledge of:
- Consolidation entity creation
- Banking portal ISVs and integration
- Statutory reporting requirements including GAAP reporting
