Software Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Cypress, Selenium, and other automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Participate in requirement analysis, design discussions, and provide input from a QA perspective.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness of the QA process.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA and automated testing.
Technical Skills: Category-wise:
Automation Testing:
- Proficiency in Cypress, Selenium.
- Experience in writing reusable and maintainable test scripts.
Programming Languages:
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with other languages and scripting (Python, Bash).
CI/CD:
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Integration of automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
API Testing:
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
- Understanding of RESTful services and JSON.
Version Control:
- Proficient in Git and version control practices.
Agile Methodologies:
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in automated testing with a strong focus on Cypress.
- Proven track record in a QA role with hands-on experience in automation testing.
- Experience in testing web applications and APIs.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results.
- Perform manual testing when necessary.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and design specifications.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, and retrospectives.
- Report and document defects in an organized manner.
- Continuously review and improve testing processes and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in QA/testing (ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.

- Excellent communication skills to articulate testing findings and collaborate with team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
