The CYFS Respite Provider offers temporary, short-term care for children and youth receiving Children, Youth, and Family Services (CYFS). Respite services give parents, caregivers, and foster families a break from caregiving responsibilities while providing children with a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide safe and appropriate supervision for children and youth.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities at home or in the community.
- Encourage positive social interactions and healthy development.
- Follow each child's care plan and agency policies.
- Communicate with caregivers and CYFS staff as needed.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Report concerns or incidents promptly.
- Attend required trainings and meetings.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
