About the Role
Thales is on a mission to help organizations protect their most critical data in an increasingly complex digital world. We're looking for a Solutions Architect to serve as the technical bridge between customer challenges and our Cloud Protection & Licensing portfolio.
As a trusted technical advisor, you'll partner with our account teams to shape compelling, tailored solutions that address the toughest application security challenges our customers face. From discovery to proof-of-value, you'll bring deep expertise, a consultative mindset, and the ability to show — clearly and convincingly — why Thales outperforms the competition.
If you thrive at the intersection of technology and business, love turning complex problems into elegant solutions, and want to make a real impact in the cybersecurity space, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Own the full technical sales cycle: discovery, RFP/RFI responses, solution design, live demos, and proof-of-value engagements.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-driven narratives for diverse audiences — from engineers to C-suite executives.
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with both technical stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- Design and deliver architecture solutions tailored to each customer's unique security landscape.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.
- Stay sharp on industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate your advisory value.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of pre-sales experience in cybersecurity, enterprise software, networking, or security solutions.
- Proven hands-on knowledge of WAF, Bot Management, or DDoS mitigation technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English (B2+) and Spanish.
- Practical experience with cloud and container platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications or working knowledge in Security, Cloud, Networking, Web Application Security, or Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOX, or HIPAA.
Logistics & Requirements
- Frequent international travel required.
- Colombian citizenship or valid work permit.
- Hybrid position — office based in Bogotá, Colombia.
