Requirements
What You’ll Do:
• Lead, recruit, mentor, and grow teams in security engineering and operations that support cybersecurity tools and platforms.
• Take full responsibility for the delivery and operational performance of security products and services, ensuring their reliability, effectiveness, and security.
• Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers and Architects to convert technical strategies into actionable roadmaps.
• Promote operational excellence throughout cybersecurity tooling, encompassing zero trust, micro-segmentation, WAF, and firewall solutions.
• Define and manage cyber tooling operations and best practices, including SLAs, incident management, change management, and conducting postmortems.
• Supervise architecture and design reviews for security tools to guarantee secure-by-design implementations across platforms.
• Lead the integration of AI and ML within security tooling automation, addressing governance, risk management, compliance, and conformance.
• Establish and enforce cloud platform standards on AWS and Azure, covering architecture, IAM, cost optimization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to service, delivery, reliability, and security with openness and accountability.
• Work jointly with product, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance teams to ensure engineering solutions meet business objectives.
• Cultivate a culture centered on operational engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
• Over 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, software engineering, or platform engineering roles.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing and scaling technical teams.
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity engineering design and operations, including team management.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity domains, with a focus on identity management.
Must Have Skills:
• Leadership and team development capabilities: ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing cybersecurity teams.
• Experience overseeing or supervising teams of 10-15 or more security engineers in both technical and operational capacities.
• In-depth understanding of zero trust technologies, covering authentication, segmentation, security protocols, network operations, traffic and flow analysis, WAF, firewall, and segmentation.
• Proven accountability for delivery, reliability, and security outcomes, ensuring platform stability and a strong security posture.
• Experience with cybersecurity platform development and automation, leading teams that deliver security automation across key areas.
• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, working effectively with engineering, security, and business teams.
Nice To Have:
• Experience leading security automation initiatives or SOAR platform teams.
• Familiarity with AI/ML governance as applied to security systems.
• Background working within regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
