Position Purpose:
- Firewall Lifecycle Management: Support ongoing activities related to firewall lifecycle management. Contribute and follow design specifications and instructions for tasks such as installing, configuring, decommissioning devices, and migrating application traffic behind firewalls.
- GlobalProtect VPN: Understands remote access VPN technology and can support GlobalProtect VPN related efforts such as deploying new portal/gateways and troubleshooting machine certificate chain/authentication flows etc.
- Patching and Upgrading: Support in mitigating network security vulnerabilities and upgrading of firewall software leverage automated solutions. Develop proficiency in these processes.
- Incident Response and Vulnerability Management: Understands the network environment to effectively respond to incident response and escalation, while providing value to our customers.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: leverage tools such as Solarwinds, Looker, Tableau to aid in troubleshooting and project implementation.
- Automation Solutions: Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible and Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in network and security engineering or operations;
- Solid understanding of switching and routing; Cisco Certification is a plus;
- Solid understanding of Cyber Security; Palo Alto Certification is a plus;
- Solid understanding of VPN technology; Hands on GlobalProtect VPN solution is a plus;
- Hands on experience with Linux operating systems;
- Hands on experience with programming language such as Ansible or Python;
- Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is preferred
- Enthusiastic about learning and advancing in network security;
- Creative and collaborative team player.
