Connected Logistics is seeking a Cybersecurity Rapid Response Lead to assist in providing the Department of State Directorate of Technology (DT), Enterprise Architecture (EA), Cyber Security Team (CST) comprehensive cybersecurity support services to protect critical consular systems and data. The CST Cyber portfolio ensures compliance with federal mandates including the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), encompassing security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and continuous authorization activities.

The Cybersecurity Rapid Response Lead manages a dedicated rapid-response work queue under the ISSO Lead. The position coordinates senior and junior team effort, obtains authoritative information, validates responses, and escalates requests that need additional capacity or Government decisions. 

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for triaging and delivering urgent cybersecurity data calls, artifact updates, risk inquiries, audit support, and leadership requests while limiting disruption to planned RMF work.

  • Confirm request scope, deadline, sensitivity, stakeholders, source systems, and approval path.
  • Triage and assign urgent data calls, POA&M inquiries, SIA actions, audit requests, and artifact updates.
  • Coordinate with assigned IASS personnel and shared SMEs while retaining clear system-level accountability.
  • Validate response accuracy, evidence references, security markings, consistency, and completeness before release.
  • Track requests, dependencies, review status, delivery, and follow-up actions in approved workflows.
  • Escalate conflicting deadlines, incomplete evidence, material risks, and requests beyond authorized scope.
  • Return system changes and findings to the responsible IASS and RMF Lead for authoritative record updates.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and a final Secret clearance or higher
  • Relevant degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, subject to the LCAT and permitted substitutions.
  • Senior-level Federal RMF, audit-response, compliance-reporting, or cybersecurity operations experience with time-sensitive stakeholder requests.
  • Broad knowledge of authorization artifacts, POA&Ms, vulnerability data, SIA, FISMA, and evidence handling.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and produce concise, accurate technical and executive responses.
  • Availability to support urgent mission requirements outside normal hours when assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CGRC, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
  • DOS/CST audit and data-call experience, including HVA, BOD, OMB, OIG, and CDM requests.
  • Familiarity with ArchAngel, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and approved response-routing workflows.

Success in this position will be demonstrated by timely, accurate urgent responses; clear request ownership; prompt escalation; and minimal disruption to scheduled authorization activities.

This is a good-faith range based on factors such as your experience, geographic location, and any applicable contractual requirements, and may vary slightly.
