Workday Operations Manager, People Technology - Location Flexible
Role Description
Dropbox is looking for an experienced Workday Operations Manager to join the Global People Services & Technology (GPS&T) team within Dropbox’s People organization. Reporting to the Head of People Technology, you will drive key initiatives across the People technology roadmap, specifically as it pertains to the configuration, administration, and adoption of Workday. These responsibilities include partnering with People stakeholders (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Org Development, Total Rewards, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, etc.) and Information Technology & Services (ITS) stakeholders responsible for implementations, integrations, and configurations.
This role demands deep knowledge of Workday, HR business processes, extensive experience with enterprise-wide technology implementations, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. The ideal candidate is a master of their craft, an excellent project manager, and a hands-on people leader.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head of People Technology to define how Workday fits within our overall technology roadmap and how it supports the employee experience
- Co-own the vendor relationship with Workday, including participation in QBRs/annual reviews and contract renewals
- Partner with People stakeholders to “sell” the value of Workday modules and showcase new capabilities; actively participate in evaluations where Workday is under consideration
- Lead the end-to-end project management and change management for Workday initiatives, partnering with key People and business stakeholders
- Deeply understand how Workday integrates with and impacts other systems; inform key cross-functional partners of new configurations and process changes (e.g., Finance, Legal, Payroll, Risk & Compliance, Security)
- Own the adoption strategy and key metrics for new Workday functionality, gathering feedback and partnering with HRITS team for enhancements to improve the employee experience
- Lead a high-performing team of Workday analysts
- Partner with ITS to solution issues that occur in Workday; initiate and execute changes required to business processes
- Adhere to compliance standards, including documentation of requirements, testing, and approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and leading Workday initiatives, either in an in-house or consulting role
- Experience leading Workday feature assessments and implementations, including project management, issue management, communications, and change management
- Experience in at least two of the following modules: core HCM, time tracking, absence management, and performance management
- Excellent knowledge of HR/People processes and best practices
- Experience leading a team, including working with/managing contractors
- Experience with Workday Extend preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
