Technical Training Facilitator
About the Job:
We are hiring a Technical Training Facilitator for our Professional Services team and are looking for a creative and innovation professional who can drive strategic projects across EMEA and North America.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate training sessions (via Zoom and in-person) for customers, partners, and LaunchDarkly team members on technical topics, ranging from general product overviews to complex, multi-day training labs and workshops.
Manage the learning environment and classroom logistics, including session preparation, materials preparation, virtual machine configuration (when needed), and learner communication before, during, and after events.
Facilitate, engage, and interact with learners during sessions to motivate them, encourage participation through inclusivity, and stimulate knowledge transfer and skill building.
Gain and maintain required level of knowledge/expertise in the subject matter being taught. Topics will include the LaunchDarkly platform, feature management concepts and best practices, software development workflows, and more.
Create feedback loops to share and address learner needs with team members and stakeholders.
Partner with team members to build content and keep assets relevant and up to date.
Keep up with trends in training methods and employ best practices in each session.
Be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional, and entertaining throughout the delivery of each course.
Anticipated travel for on-site training is 25-50%.
Basic Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of experience in instructor-led training in a technical field; SaaS software experience preferred
5 to 7 years of experience designing and developing technical learning programs, including exercises, labs, and interactive skill-building sessions
Experience working with technical audiences such as software developers, implementers, and administrators
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in instructional design, including training task analysis, writing objectives, curriculum and lesson planning/design, implementation, and evaluation
Visual and graphic design skills
Proven ability to simplify complex information and communicate it in an easy-to-understand format
Proven ability to accept, manage, and act on feedback from collaborators, instructors, and end-users
High standards for work quality, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the following:
DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
Linux, Docker, and Virtual Machines.
APIs and related technology
Software development lifecycle
Directory systems (LDAP, Active Directory, Azure)
Software-as-a-Service, cloud-based solutions
Identity management systems (SailPoint, Okta, PingFederate), role-based access control (RBAC), or other identity and access management technologies
Education:
- BS or MA in Instructional Design (or similar) with a computer software background; or BS or MA in Computer Science (or similar) with an instructional design background; or equivalent experience.
