Senior ETL Developer

We think creatively, we like a challenge and draw inspiration from each other. As the Senior ETL Developer, you will help implement and improve our existing ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in healthcare, specifically at a payer.
Essential duties include:
- Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
- Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users.
- Maintain and improve already existing processes.
- Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable.
- Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions.
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as an ETL Developer working in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of SQL (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.), as well as an understanding of database structure.
- Prior experience working in healthcare, specifically at a payer, is a plus.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles.
- Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (Pentaho, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
- Knowledge of various SQL/NoSQL data storage mechanisms and Big Data technologies.
- Knowledge of EDI tools and standard data formats is a plus.
- Experience with Bash, Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
- High attention to detail.
- Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
- Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
