Core One is seeking Help Desk/ Support Specialists L1-6 to support our IC program. This position requires a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recording incidents and providing support to the users
  • Provide a total customer support service as a single point of contact for all issues relating to IT and IS services for a particular customer
  • Provide technical assistance to computer system users, including the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems
  • Maintain a service perspective including an understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components and the organizations that support them
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location
  • Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance
  • An Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to eighteen (18) months specialized experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to three (3) years specialized experience (total equivalency is not cumulative when combined with an Associate’s degree)
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of five (5) years when combined with a Bachelor’s)
  • A Doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill will be considered equivalent to two (2) years specialized experience (up to a total of seven (7) years when combined with a Master’s and a Bachelor’s)
  • Professional years of experience may be substituted for specialized years of experience at a ratio of three (3) years of general experience within an occupation for one (1) year of specialized experience
  • Relevant certifications will be considered equivalent to three (3) months of specialized experience

Levels:

  • Developmental: 3 YOE
  • Full Performance: 3 YOE
  • Senior: 6 YOE
  • Expert: 11 YOE
  • Manager: 16 YOE
  • SME: 16 YOE
