About the Role
Orchard is looking for a Disclosure Desk Associate to help ensure initial disclosures are sent to borrowers and any change in circumstances (CICs) are accounted for and updated in a timely manner.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Send out initial disclosures to borrowers.
- Ensure that all loans are disclosed within 3 days.
- Working with the Mortgage Loan Officers, Processors and other Mortgage Team Members to review all fees and charges for accuracy and making any necessary changes.
- Track applications within Byte to ensure timely deliverances of all disclosures.
- Reviews loan files to ensure applications are completed thoroughly, all required data entered and closing fees are accurately disclosed to avoid tolerance cures or other regulatory violations.
- Prepares the Loan Estimate and initial disclosure packages and sends disclosure to applicants.
- Works with Mortgage Loan Officers, Processors and Underwriters to review any changes of circumstances that may require revised disclosures.
- Delivers revised disclosures to applicants in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements to avoid tolerance cures and closing delays.
- Pipeline management to ensure that all dates, triggers and data integrity is always accurate.
- Acts as subject matter expert for applicant and staff questions regarding initial and revised disclosures.
- Participates in any compliance related projects pertaining to regulatory disclosures.
- Trouble shoots compliance issues related to disclosures.
- Taking proactive steps to ensure disclosure related compliance.
- Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
- Minimum of 1 year of and mortgage experience
- Basic understanding of agency guidelines and processing
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize
- Outstanding people and customer service skills
- A team player with the ability to take responsibility to drive things forward even when others may not
