As an intern for the CyberSecurity team, the intern will work alongside different CyberSecurity engineers, analysts and architects.  The intern will receive time working in multiple areas of security with multiple security practitioners to receive a broad exposure to tools, practices and security principles.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with/shadow cybersecurity engineers that are actively using code writing for security purposes.
• Assigning security best practices to work performed.
• Scripting in JSON, CFT, Terraform, Python, PowerShell and other languages.
• Learning and applying secure coding practices.
• Learning and interacting with Logging for security principles.
• Learning the reasons for secure practices during job duties.
• Learning and applying Security Oversight and Governance in relation to all job functions.
• Working in a collaborative team environment.
• Attend working sessions, meetings and project planning/reporting sessions.
• Learning to diagnose, troubleshoot and solution for workstreams, incidents and projects.
• Work alongside the CyberSecurity Architecture team.
• Learning and applying DevSecOps principals
• Learning about pen testing, vulnerability management and code reviews.
• Saas, PaaS and Cloud operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Background in scripting for administrative purposes.
• Team collaboration, participation and communication.
• Documentation for processes, projects and workstreams
• Creative approaches to problem solving, solutioning and non-standard architectures.
• Positive thinking approaches to creative solutioning.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas, solutions, and escalations.
• Understanding of Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability.

The US national hourly wage range for this position is from $18.00 to $36.00 per hour.  The national range provided includes the hourly rate that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual hourly wage rate will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
