The Mission Solutions Operation at Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR). The ideal candidate will be able to identify, assess, and address IT systems security issues. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Engineer will coordinate with the IT team and customer management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor the security status for all IT systems and resolve all security issues quickly.
- Investigate computer and information security incidents.
- Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an active TS/SCI with poly
- Requires minimum of 12 years of relevant experience and Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity or related field. 16+ years of work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated experience supporting of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and vulnerability management
- Experience with network infrastructure design, routed data protocols, and hardware platforms.
- Experience with technologies such as DHCP, DNS, SSH, TCP, and UDP.
- Demonstrated experience with security device architecture, engineering, and installation/management.
- Knowledge of WAN and LAN, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Knowledge in Operating Systems such as Windows, Cisco IOS, and RHEL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience applying efficient task management and ability to adjust to changing requirements
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills
